The policy, in one line

Simscanner is an independent travel-eSIM comparison site.

Simscanner ranks brands country by country using sourced data measured against a published methodology. No brand pays for ranking position or visibility. This press page lists the fact sheet, the methodology summary, and the media contact for verified press enquiries.

What Simscanner is, in one paragraph

Fact sheet

Simscanner is an independent travel-eSIM comparison site published in British English. The site compares travel-eSIM brands country by country, region by region, and head to head, against a published five-category methodology covering country coverage, entry price, validity, hotspot policy, and unlimited honesty. The site does not sell plans, does not act as a reseller, and does not accept paid placement of any kind. Per-brand data is read from each brand's own published pages with the source URL and retrieved date recorded on the brand profile.

How the rankings work

Methodology summary

Simscanner publishes per-category rankings. Each category has a single sourced measurement defined on /how-we-score. A brand's position in a category comes from that measurement alone, not from any composite score. No overall winner across all categories is published. A category band shows ranks only when every brand in the band has sourced data inside the published review window; otherwise the band reads in preview state with brand chips but no ranks. The full methodology lives at /methodology.

No paid placements

Independence

Simscanner accepts zero paid placements. No brand pays for ranking position, inclusion, language, or visibility. No brand reviews or approves Simscanner pages before publication. No commercial agreement, sponsorship, or affiliate arrangement is in place with any brand. Independence is enforced through the brand-neutrality QA gate, the schema audit, and the internal-linking audit, all listed at /zero-paid-placements.

How to reach the team

Media contact

Media enquiries should be sent to press@simscanner.app with the publication name, journalist name, intended publication date, and the specific question or fact-check request. Simscanner aims to acknowledge within 2 working days and to provide on-record statements within 5 working days. Off-record briefings are not provided in Phase 1; the site's published methodology and data sources policy cover the canonical answer set.

Press kit

Logos and assets

A press kit is being prepared and will publish on this page once available. The kit will include the Simscanner wordmark (Fraunces with the squiggle underline) in SVG and PNG formats, a one-page fact sheet PDF, and four screenshot exports of the homepage, rankings, country page, and brand profile. Until the kit publishes, journalists may quote the wordmark from any public Simscanner page with attribution.

Press mentions of Simscanner

Recent coverage

No press mentions are recorded at Phase 1 launch. Once articles citing Simscanner publish, they will be listed here with the publication name, headline, publication date, and a link. Simscanner does not solicit coverage and does not exchange interview access for favourable mentions; only publications citing Simscanner organically are listed.

Structured data on this page: Article BreadcrumbList. No FAQPage schema is emitted: this policy is a single declarative document. No Product, Offer, AggregateRating, or Review schema is used.
Notes for the delivery team
  • The build brief's "Crawlable FAQ" instruction asks for a visible FAQ on every page, but the zero-paid-placements content pack explicitly renders no FAQ section and supplies no FAQ copy (section 7 and section 11). The content pack is treated as the source of truth, so no FAQ section and no FAQPage schema are emitted here. Confirm this is intended before sign-off.
  • Enforcement-map cards link to internal QA files (qa/qa-checklist.md, qa/schema-audit.md, qa/internal-link-audit.md) using the ../ relative convention. Confirm those files exist in qa/ at port time.
  • This is the reusable policy template. The same chrome renders /policies/editorial, /policies/data-sources, /about, and the remaining policy family by copy substitution only.
  • Internal links use the ../ relative convention from the brief and resolve to clean URLs after the post-extraction rewrite.
