What visitors may and may not do

Acceptable use

Visitors may read Simscanner pages, link to Simscanner pages, and cite Simscanner content with attribution. Visitors must not scrape pages in bulk, must not crawl with automated systems beyond what robots.txt permits, must not republish entire pages without permission, and must not modify the published content. The site is published under no warranty and visitors use it at their own discretion.

Independent comparison, not a reseller

What Simscanner is

Simscanner is an independent travel-eSIM comparison site. It does not sell plans, does not process payments, does not maintain visitor accounts beyond optional language preferences, and does not act as an intermediary between visitors and any brand. Brand plans, prices, terms, and policies remain the responsibility of each brand and may change without notice on Simscanner.

Sourced data, not advice

Disclaimer

Information on Simscanner is sourced from each brand's published pages on stated retrieved dates. Brands change wording, pricing, and policies; Simscanner re-reviews on a published cadence but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. Nothing on Simscanner is legal, financial, telecommunications, or travel advice. Visitors should confirm directly with the brand before purchasing a plan or relying on a published policy.

Limitations

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simscanner is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site. Simscanner's total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount the visitor paid to access the site, which is zero. This limitation does not apply to liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Jurisdiction and dispute resolution

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Simscanner is established. Disputes will first be referred to good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes will be referred to the competent courts of the jurisdiction. Visitors in the EU retain their statutory rights including consumer dispute resolution under EU consumer protection regulations.

Updates to these terms

Changes

Simscanner may update these terms when policy, methodology, or applicable law changes. Material updates are dated at the top of this page and listed in the revision history. Continued use of the site after a material update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Visitors who do not accept an update should stop using the site.

Structured data on this page: Article BreadcrumbList. No FAQPage schema is emitted: this policy is a single declarative document. No Product, Offer, AggregateRating, or Review schema is used.
Notes for the delivery team
  • The build brief's "Crawlable FAQ" instruction asks for a visible FAQ on every page, but the zero-paid-placements content pack explicitly renders no FAQ section and supplies no FAQ copy (section 7 and section 11). The content pack is treated as the source of truth, so no FAQ section and no FAQPage schema are emitted here. Confirm this is intended before sign-off.
  • Enforcement-map cards link to internal QA files (qa/qa-checklist.md, qa/schema-audit.md, qa/internal-link-audit.md) using the ../ relative convention. Confirm those files exist in qa/ at port time.
  • This is the reusable policy template. The same chrome renders /policies/editorial, /policies/data-sources, /about, and the remaining policy family by copy substitution only.
  • Internal links use the ../ relative convention from the brief and resolve to clean URLs after the post-extraction rewrite.
